For my family that loves a good hamburger, this has been a great healthy alternative.
1 pound 93% lean ground turkey
1 T. mayonnaise
1 T. Dijon mustard
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 t. kosher salt
½ t. freshly ground black pepper
2 T. olive oil (optional if cooking in a skillet)
1/3 c. of uncooked oatmeal (optional). We like the turkey best with oatmeal, as it helps hold it together.
In a medium bowl, combine the turkey, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Use your hands to mix everything together. Divide the mixture evenly and form 4 large patties.
We typically grill these. If cooking in a skillet, use the olive oil to prepare the pan and cook on medium heat-5 minutes each side.
If you prefer your burgers more substantial, you can add a couple of heaping tablespoons of uncooked oatmeal.
